I have been incredibly busy the past few months and I had once talked with Adrian about doing a shoot for him to help along his portfolio. The both of us are always running around with personal projects and we have even collaborated in the past. So I decided to finally schedule him for an hour before sunset to get a couple of frames in. We ended up shooting four different outfits in three locations with many different looks. To my surprise we where able to find the right locations for what we both wanted as a background in a very short amount of time. More shots in the gallery.
I have been inching more towards using natural light in portraits and picking up a 5D was the right move for me. Simply on the dynamic range alone it surpasses anything I was able to capture in the past. very much reminds me of shooting with film many moons ago. F the full shoot check out the gallery section.
One of my favorite things is to have some one sit in for a portrait when they where not expecting it. Even if the reason why they where in the studio was to help out with another project. I enjoy asking some one to sit in for a couple of frames and do some solo work.
While in the Fl Keys looking for wildlife to photograph I encountered this interesting subject and decided to make him part of the show. The beach was surprisingly bare of birds, I am sure due to the recent storms in the area.
Alfredo has been waiting for me to do a shoot patiently. While I have been waiting anxiously to receive some new lights I decided to lightly modify a beauty dish to use my Nikon SB800 and we spent most of Saturday night shooting. I will be posting some more pictures up of him soon.
I have been working on some lighting techniques as well as pushing myself to work more with color and contrast. You can see more images of this set on my flickr page.
